Fun at the Santa Rosa Plateau

Friday, July 4, 2008

Yesterday I went out to the SRP after work for a little recovery ride. I am in a regeneration 5 day block right now so I am really trying to take it easy to let my body recover from all of the volume I packed in during base. One of the things my buddy James told me when moving to the 16-5 mesocycle is that you really have to take it easy during the 5 day regeneration period....so I am trying to do just that.

I have realized lately that I haven't been using my new camera much....the thing is really nice! Every ride other people are doing all of the picture taking...I guess I have just been really focused on training. Yesterday I figured the slow downs and stops of taking pics/vids might be a good thing in limiting my pace. So I snapped a few pics and vids and today I decided to up the cheese factor and put it all into a video.

Enjoy!!

Nicely done! I'm burned from spending too much time in the sun and burnt out from huge volume.

Okay, I read James' account of Palomar. Where is yours?? Is it worth the drive? It's just one little climb, right? :)

Hey Luke,it's your cousin Blake. This video is rad! I feel like a little leprachaun sitting on the handle bars.
